This warm and symbolic diplomatic moment saw the two leaders arriving together at the academy after sharing a helicopter ride from Yogyakarta International Airport. Both donned matching white shirts as they walked towards a Maung tactical vehicle, with President Prabowo taking the wheel and President Macron seated beside him, showcasing their camaraderie and mutual respect. The visit included full military honors, such as Honor Guards, Mounted Cavalry, and local students waving flags, making it a highlight of Macron’s official state trip to Indonesia. Prabowo personally invited Macron to observe cadet education and training at the academy, underlining the importance of strengthening bilateral defense cooperation between Indonesia and France. The visit aimed to deepen the relationship between the two countries, focusing on defense capabilities and human resource development in the military sector.
