Ester Nenggokaka, a resident of Southwest Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara, is a dedicated mother who leads a simple life while facing various challenges. She sells vegetables in the morning to provide for her two children, exemplifying resilience and perseverance. One of her children, Lorensius Aganta, was underweight at 7 kilograms before benefiting from the Free Nutritious Meal (Makan Bergizi Gratis, MBG) program. Ester expressed her appreciation for the program, noting the positive impact on her son’s health.

Regularly receiving MBG meals has led to a noticeable improvement in her son’s weight, prompting Ester to eagerly anticipate his next health check at the local community clinic. Every morning, she receives a variety of nutritious foods like eggs, fish, meat, tofu, tempeh, and vegetables for her children, ensuring they have a balanced diet.

Despite her challenging circumstances without access to electricity or land ownership, Ester remains hopeful for the future. She looks towards President Prabowo for further assistance in improving their living standards. The meals provided by the MBG program not only nourish her child but also instill a sense of optimism for what lies ahead.
